With original coated braun cord and elliptical light detail. Sculptural. Minimalist.

The young Suzuki joined the office of Lisa Johansson Pape in 1963 as part of an exchange project between Japanese and Finnish designers. Soon after arriving he drew this lamp which subsequently was taken into production by the company Stockmann-Orno. This well proportioned, minimalist ‘lantern like’ lamp clearly shows the roots of its designer and is an early and tangible proof of the ongoing artistic cross fertilization between the two countries.
